Today is the official day of Global Anti-Piracy Day

Microsoft has declared today (October 21) as Global Anti-piracy Day. This post was made to make people become aware of the piracy that is occuring and try to help stop it. Piracy is when things are being illegally taken and not recognized from where they originally came from. In 2007, the global economic loss was estimated at nearly $50 billion. Piracy is becoming a threat to intellectual property and innovation. With Global Anti-piracy Day, Microsoft is helping to level the playing field for legitimate dealers who have been harmed. It is hoped for that illegal sales will stop, and that consumers will begin to recieve the full value of licensed, genuine Microsoft products.
